For personal accounts: no — this is an architectural guarantee. Files, encryption keys, and passwords are never stored in decryptable form on Tresorit's servers. For business accounts with Advanced Control enabled, your organisation's Recovery Administrator holds a master key that can access your encrypted files. Check Settings to see whether Advanced Control is enabled on your account.

Does Tresorit record calls?

Yes — if you have a call with Tresorit's sales team, the call is recorded, transcribed, and processed by AI. An AI coaching bot may join the call in real time. This was added to the privacy policy in April 2025. If you do not want to be recorded, you should state this at the start of any call.
